Lisa Walker, DVM
Born and raised in Rome, Georgia, Dr. Lisa Walker and her family still live on the family farm, shared with lots of horses, cats, dogs, and any other species of animal that might come along.
Dr. Walker has always been all about animals of all kinds, and at the age of 12 decided she would become a veterinarian. She feels very blessed to be able to work daily in a profession she loves.
Attending Berry College as an undergraduate, Dr. Walker received her DVM degree from Auburn University in 1996. While in veterinary school, she worked for Animal Medical Center during summer breaks. In 2001, Dr. Walker became an associate veterinarian at Westside Animal Hospital and an owner of the practice in 2003.
Married to Clay, a corporal with the Rome Fire Department, they have two children: Josey Lynn and Elijah.
Kellie Littrell, DVM
Dr. Littrell grew up in Round Rock, Texas, and received her Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science from Texas A&M University in 2004. After teaching high school science for a year, Dr. Littrell knew she needed to follow her true passion and returned to Texas A&M University where she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2010. While still in veterinary school, Dr. Littrell began a program at the University of Minnesota to receive her Master’s in Public Health.
In 2009, she married Kevin Littrell and moved to the Atlanta area. Her husband graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2001 and is working as an electrical engineer in Kennesaw, GA. They are proud owners of a Jack Russell Terrier named Harley, a Miniature Dachshund named Gray, a Border Collie named Riot, and a Domestic Longhair cat named Izzy. Dr. Littrell enjoys many hobbies including running, hiking, camping, cooking, and gardening.
Dr. Littrell appreciates the trust that clients extend by allowing her to advise on the path to optimal health for their beloved pets and she works diligently and with determination to always do her best. To help Dr. Littrell stay up-to-date she is involved in professional organizations at the local, state, and national levels and attends professional meetings on a regular basis.
Dr. Littrell loves her job as a veterinarian and is excited to join the professional staff at Westside Animal Hospital. She will be sharing veterinary duty with Dr.Walker, as well as Dr. Rick Moore at Animal Medical Center. She looks forward to serving the Cartersville community and having an opportunity to get to know you and your pets.

Candis, Veterinary Technician
Candis has returned to the world of veterinary medicine to work with the Cartersville Bartow Veterinary Group. She previously worked for Animal Medical Center for 9 years as a Veterinary Assistant and a Licensed Veterinary Technician and is now back to share her knowledge and love of animals with both Westside Animal Hospital and Animal Medical Center.
Candis has lived in the Calhoun community for most of her life She is the mother of two beautiful, strong willed daughters, LeAnn and Rebecca as well as her furry babies, Heaven, a healer mix and Monkey, a bobtail calico.
Selena, Veterinary Assistant
Selena joined Westside Animal Hospital in January 2011. She has 4 years experience in caring for pets at veterinary facilities. She has two wonderful furry babies, Charlie, a miniature dachshund/Scottie cross, and Snooky, a domestic short hair kitty.
Sarah, Vet Assistant/Receptionist
Sarah’s love of animals brought her to Westside Animal Hospital in 2008. Sarah works as an assistant and at the front desk as a receptionist when needed. Sarah has four cats, Sassy, Von Lickdenstein, Tiger, and her most recent rescue, Natasha. She is married to Kevin and is the mother of Blane and Sierra.
Stephanie, Receptionist
Stephanie joined the staff at Westside Animal Hospital and has assumed the duties as receptionist. She is always working hard at being an advocate for you and your pets. She is the mother of Gradyn and a furry beagle mix, Margret.
Joey, Kennel Assistant
Joey is a college student who joined us in 2006. He enjoys spending time with all of our animals in the kennel. Joey is also very handy around the clinic, filling in where needed.
